No company providing payment services in Azerbaijan has yet received licence

Although the Law "On Payment Services and Payment Systems" has been in force in Azerbaijan since 9 November, no company providing payment services has yet been licensed. However, after the Law came into force, the licensing of companies operating in this area was to begin and the process was to be completed within 6 months. To all appearances, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan has not issued any licences to any companies in 6 weeks....
