Baku/22.03.22/Turan: Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said late on Monday that he was ready to discuss Ukraine's commitment not to seek membership in NATO in exchange for a ceasefire, the withdrawal of Russian troops and guarantees of Ukraine's security.
"This is a compromise for everyone: for the West, which does not know what to do with us in relation to NATO, and for Ukraine, which wants security guarantees, and for Russia, which does not want further expansion of NATO," Zelensky said. late on Monday evening in an interview with Ukrainian TV channels.
He also repeated his call for direct talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Zelensky, until he meets with Putin, it is impossible to understand whether Russia wants to stop the war at all.
