2018 Declared Year of Azerbaijan People�s Republic
Baku / 10.01.17 / Turan: The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev declared the year 2018 The Year of the Azerbaijan People's Republic (APR).
He stated this today at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers devoted to the results of the country's social and economic development in 2017.
In 2018, the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the APR is celebrated. The APR became the first republic in the Turkic and Muslim world.
Aliyev noted that jubilee events will be held on this occasion both in Azerbaijan and abroad. -06D--

"We are deeply shocked by the news of the deaths and injuries resulting from the tragic incident that took place at the Christmas market in Magdeburg," the message reads.
