950 people have been registered as candidates for deputies in the parliamentary elections

The Iranian Embassy in Armenia reports that Iranian Ambassador Mehdi Sobkhani met with Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan to reiterate Iran's objections to the opening of the Zangezur Corridor. During the meeting, the ambassador emphasized Iran's stance on maintaining international borders and rejecting any geopolitical changes, as well as supporting the territorial integrity of its neighbors, according to the embassy's statement.

Armenia and Azerbaijan have fully agreed on 13 out of 16 Articles of the draft peace treaty,  Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a joint briefing with the Luxembourg Foreign Minister in Yerevan.

Khafiz Babaly, an investigative journalist and editor of the economic news department at the Turan news agency, is celebrating his 53rd birthday in prison on September 9. He was arrested in December 2023 in connection with the “Abzas Media” case on charges of foreign currency smuggling. In August, new charges of economic crimes were brought against him, which, like the previous ones, are unfounded. The journalist denies all accusations and claims that he is being persecuted for investigating corruption.

The issue of return of Karabakh leaders is not in the draft peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku. This was stated by Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan to journalists.
