Adviser to the Leader of Musavat Mustafa Hajibayli Arrested for 15 Days
Detained after the opposition rally in the village Novkhani yesterday, the adviser to the leader of the party Musavat Mustafa Hajibayli was today sentenced to administrative detention for 15 days on charges of hooliganism (Article 296 of the Administrative Code). Turan was told by the brother of Hajibayli Vagif Hajibayli. According to him, the case was heard in the Absheron district court without the involvement of relatives.
At the same time, Hajibayli was stripped of his lawyer, and he was tried in the presence of the state attorney.
What is incriminated to M. Hajibayli is not clear. Vagif Hajibayli called the court's decision illegal, and it will be appealed to the Court of Appeal.
Note that a large number of police officers, including the heads of Absheron district police, were brought to the court house. -16D06 -
