Ali Hasanov mobilizes resources under his control in his own defense
Baku/30.03.18/Turan: The Press Council today organized an event on the topic "Preservation of national and spiritual values in Internet media and social networks: journalistic solidarity against negative trends", at which journalists were reminded of their "duty" and "tasks". Assistant to the President, Ali Hasanov, said that the purpose of the meeting is to bring to the public a certain "insidious plan" of the enemy forces against the Azerbaijani state.
He called on the press to "protect stability," because otherwise the foundations of the state would be collapsed, as happened during the color revolutions in the countries of the Middle East.
According to him, there are forces striving to receive "free use of Azerbaijan's energy resources". The obstacle in their way is the president of Azerbaijan, Hasanov said. "We did not allow and will not allow to use Azerbaijan against other states," he continued and complained about the abuse of hostile forces by the freedom of the Internet provided in Azerbaijan.
Declaring a dirty campaign against the head of state, members of his family, and officials, Hasanov blamed anti-Azerbaijani centers for this.
"After the presidential elections were held in Azerbaijan on April 11, these centers launched the so-called "Azerbaijani project" and attracted some of our compatriots abroad," Hasanov revealed the sinister plans of the enemies. At the same time, he did not forget to complain and criticize personally in his address.
Further, he compared the critics of the Azerbaijani authorities to the "virtual Islamic State", which they are trying to do with Azerbaijan as with Syria "and called for a struggle with "those who have lost their sense of homeland and shame."
Speakers in the trail, called for the blocking of resources, where the abuse is from Azerbaijan. Thus, the editor-in-chief of the Yeni Azerbaijan newspaper Hikmet Babaoglu even called for the use of "soft power" without specifying what he means.
Among those who supported Hasanov's position were a number of former political prisoners, including the editor of the website Gününsəsi.info, "Parviz Hashimli, who called for the struggle against the authors of slanderous materials that" are activated on the eve of important social and political events."
Once a zealous critic of Heydar and Ilham Aliyev, the editor of the Yeni Musavat newspaper, Rauf Arifoglu, said that the Azeris' statements abroad "against our country" are part of the "insidious" plan against the Azerbaijani state. These forces, he said, have chosen the stability in Azerbaijan, which is based on "solidarity of the people and authorities".
Editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Bakinsky Rabochiy" and 1news.az website Rahman Hajiyev said that in recent times superpowers have been using social networks for influence and pressure. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen supervision over the use of social networks and the Internet. -06D-
