Aliyev congratulated Maduro, who was not recognized by his neighbors
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter to Nicolas Maduro Moros congratulating him on his "re-election" as head of Venezuela. Aliyev expressed hope that Azerbaijani-Venezuelan relations will continue successfully.
It should be noted that neighboring countries with Venezuela, such as Chile, Argentina, Peru, Costa Rica and Uruguay, accused Maduro of falsifying the election results and refused to recognize him as president. Meanwhile, the Venezuelan opposition called on the army to oust the usurper Maduro, who once again falsified the election results.
