Amnesty International recognizes Mamedov Bayram and Ibrahimov Giyas as prisoners of conscience
The international human rights organization Amnesty International announced, the two youth activists - Bayram Mammadov and Giyas Ibrahimov arrested May 10 in Azerbaijan - prisoners of conscience. The organization also called on the Azerbaijani authorities to release the activists and to investigate cases of torture of youth activists, accused of drug trafficking,
However, the real reason for their arrest was painting political graffiti on the former President's statue.-16D-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported.
