Arab companies to build wind and solar stations in Azerbaijan
Baku / 09.01.20 / Turan: On Thursday, President Ilham Aliyev received Chairman of the Board of the ACWA Power Company from Saudi Arabia Mohammad Abunayan and Executive Director of the Masdar Company from the UAE Jamil al Ramahi, the website of the head of state.
Today, Arab businesspersons were received by Ali Asadov. During the meeting, agreements were signed between the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and ACWA Power and Masdar on the implementation of pilot renewable energy projects.
According to the Cabinet, pilot projects include the construction of a 240-megawatt wind farm, as well as a 200-megawatt solar power station.
ACWA Power is a large company engaged in renewable energy projects, water treatment, construction of energy facilities and infrastructure in 20 countries in Africa, the Arab world and Turkey.
Masdar Company is also known for its clean and renewable energy projects. -02D-
