The head of the CEC called on candidates not to campaign ahead of schedule
Baku / 09.01.20 / Turan: The head of the CEC, Mazahir Panahov, appealed to candidates for parliamentary elections with an appeal not to campaign ahead of time on social networks. He recalled that according to the law, election campaigning begins on January 17.
“Campaigning before this deadline is contrary to the Electoral Code,” Panahov said at today's meeting of the CEC.
For 9 January, 689 candidates were registered. Of these, 227 people represent 20 political parties. — 21C-
