Kazakhstan's report does not explain the cause of the AZAL plane crash - Rosaviatsiya
The report on the investigation into the AZAL plane crash, published by the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, is "preliminary and does not contain conclusions about the causes of the incident," a message from “Rosaviatsiya” – the Federal Air Transport Agency of Russia. “Rosaviatsiya” noted that the work of the commission will continue, and conclusions about the incident will be presented in the final report.
The Russian side acknowledges that the plane was damaged due to "external impact." However, the report does not mention that "foreign objects were identified," and "the Russian Federation has not had the opportunity to examine these elements yet, as they have not been handed over for expert analysis."
“Rosaviatsiya” also noted that the aircraft's crew chose the Aktau aerodrome, even though dispatchers had suggested Mineralnye Vody and Makhachkala. As for reports of a bird strike and the explosion of an oxygen cylinder, these versions also came from the pilot.
