Armenian President Threatens to Punish Azerbaijan
"Azerbaijan's criminal regime is more and more immersed in the swamp of crimes against humanity," such a statement was made by President Serzh Sargsyan on Saturday in Yerevan, commenting on the death of 4 Armenian soldiers and three civilians.
"Every day the criminal regime of Azerbaijan is more and more immersed in the swamp of crimes against humanity. The law of the civilized world calls mankind to put an end to impunity for crimes against humanity. Armenia is firm in this matter. We will consistently identify, detect and pursue every perpetrator of such crimes - from privates following orders to commanders that give such orders. If there is no alternative, then we will be the punishing sword of humanity in relation to the perpetrators of these crimes," he said.
Terming Karabakh "an integral part of Armenia," Sargsyan threatened Azerbaijan with "retaliatory actions".
"We will make the Azerbaijani government accountable to its people for the new suffering caused to them," concluded the head of Armenia.
In turn, the Armenian Defense Ministry issued a statement threatening to use artillery and missiles against Azerbaijan. The reason for this was the use of rockets and artillery by Azerbaijan in the north of Karabakh on September 25, killing 4 and injuring 16 Armenian soldiers.
To defeat the enemy, the Armenian forces will continue to use artillery and missiles against the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. -02D-
