At "ADEX 2022" increased interest in products of "Rosoboronexport" structures
Baku/07.09.22/Turan: "The presence of the Russian Federation as a supplier of armament in the Caspian region is important and, I think, it is also important for the states that provide their defense, because the world is provided with defensive weapons.
Vyacheslav Davidenko, head of the press-office and press-secretary of the general director of "Rosoboronexport" (RF), told this exclusively to Turan.
"Rosoboronexport" organized a joint Russian exposition at "ADEX 2022" exhibition in Baku with more than 500 samples of production of over 20 Russian companies, designed for all types of armed forces and branches, special and police units, as well as civilian products.
Davidenko did not rule out that the talks in Baku will eventually lead to the signing of new contracts between partner companies.
"We constantly participate in those arms exhibitions held by Azerbaijan (since 2014), as we consider this format of cooperation very important and interesting. We have deep-rooted relations with Azerbaijan, and the "ADEX exhibition" in Baku is a serious platform for business meetings," the "Rosoboronexport"s representative said.
The stand of the world-known concern Kalashnikov is of the greatest interest at "ADEX 2022".
The concern exhibits in Baku more than 30 items of products (military products and samples of civilian small arms), and as regards the military small arms the concern brought to the capital of Azerbaijan Kalashnikov automatic rifles of new 100th and 200th series, as well as a line of new products "Ratnik".
Also on display at the exhibition was the new Saiga-AKSU 5.45 mm sporting self-loading carbine, which the Russian Federation produces for export.
"When creating the Saiga-AKSU under the 5.45x39 cartridge, the developers used the design solutions of the AKS-74U rifle. Efforts were made to ensure the authenticity of the appearance of the legendary weapon, including original sights, receiver and fore-end made of wood. The buttstock is a folding frame stock," reported the "Kalashnikov" concern. The carbine is equipped with identical magazines and has a limited magazine capacity of 10 rounds. Specifications are as follows: 5.45 mm caliber, 5.45x39 ammunition used, weight - 2.7 kg without rounds, overall length - 730 mm, capacity of magazine - 10 rounds, barrel length - 212 mm.
Note that "ADEX 2022" exhibition will last until September 8 inclusive.
