Baku/15.06.22/Turan: The other day a letter Z appeared on the fortress wall of the historical-architectural reserve "Icherisheher" which was associated with the Russian aggression against Ukraine. The police identified and detained the intruder.
It turned out to be 67-year-old Baku resident Alexander Saprykin.
The press service of the Interior Ministry confirmed information about the detention of Saprykin. The agency noted that the case is being investigated as a part of the administrative proceedings.
It ought to be noted that Icherisheher is a historical monument, included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The Azerbaijani legislation provides not only administrative but also criminal liability for acts of vandalism. -06В-
