Authorities Evicted University of Free Thought
The heads of AF Mall Shopping Center demanded immediate eviction of the University of Free Thought (UFT) from the leased premises.
UFT was proposed for 2 hours to vacate the office on the 5th floor.
Therefore, it was necessary to remove the property from the office by midnight, Adnan Hajizadeh, the head of the youth movement OL, whose project the university is, told Turan.
According to him, the AF Mall unilaterally terminated the contract and accused OL of violating the terms of the contract. In particular, it was stated that the tenants have taken space "for office, but put an education center there."
Hajizadeh called this rationale "absurd."
Recall that on April 10 the room was sealed by the employees of the University of the Attorney General, without explanation. Two days later, prosecutors said the office was sealed in connection with the criminal case against the activists of NIDA and no registration of the OL movement.
However, the legislation of Azerbaijan does not prohibit non-profit organizations without a registration. -06D-
