Azerbaijan and India Strengthen Cooperation
Baku / 05.04.18 / Turan: Azerbaijan and India intend to strengthen and develop cooperation in various areas. This was stated at the press conference following the meeting in Baku by Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Elmar Mammadyarov and Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj.
The Indian Minister expressed interest in the development of such spheres as tourism, education, transport, energy, etc.
In turn, Mammadyarov said that, at the suggestion of the Indian side, a meeting of the Azerbaijani-Indian intergovernmental commission will be held in May.
He also said that on Wednesday the governments of Azerbaijan and India signed an agreement on visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic and official passports.
In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the ADA University and the Institute for Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India. -02D-

The National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) has scheduled a protest rally in Baku for May 19 demanding the release of political prisoners, electoral reform, improvement of the social situation of the population, and the opening of land borders.
