Baku/04.03.21/Turan:  On Wednesday, the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan and the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Pakistan, Nadim Raza, discussed the issues of deepening and expanding cooperation in the military sphere.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, Raza said that Pakistani specialists are ready to take part in clearing mines from the liberated territories. He also noted that there is a wide potential for bringing the military cooperation of the two countries to a qualitatively new level.

Both sides noted the need to further build up efforts to strengthen military cooperation and exchanged views on holding joint military exercises with the participation of various types of troops, including the special forces of Azerbaijan and Pakistan.

Previously, receiving Nadim Raz, who is on a three-day visit to Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev noted the need to conduct joint exercises. -02D-
