Azerbaijan contributes to global energy supply - Joe Biden
Baku/31.05.23/Turan: Azerbaijan and the U.S. have built strong partnership relations for more than 30 years, from countering transnational threats to promoting inclusive economic growth.
This is said in the U.S. President's message on the occasion of the opening of the traditional International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition in Baku. Biden's message was read out at the opening ceremony by US Assistant Secretary of State Geoffrey Pyatt.
"Azerbaijan is assisting to meet the global need for reliable energy supplies, from the development of the Middle East corridor, including the Southern Gas corridor, to the diversification of energy sources that enhances energy sustainability," Biden noted.
"The U.S. will support Azerbaijan throughout its work in these areas, including reforms that promote the rule of law and create opportunities for the people of Azerbaijan.
Besides, we will continue to support a lasting and just peace that promotes security and prosperity in the South Caucasus.
I look forward to continuing our cooperation in the years to come," Biden's message concludes. -06В-
