Baku Energy Week with the participation of 326 companies starts today
Baku/31.05.23//Turan: Baku will host the Baku Energy Week, combining three prestigious events under one name from May 31 to June 2.
Within the framework of the Baku Energy Week, the 28th International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition - Caspian Oil&Gas, the 11th Caspian International Energy and Green Energy Exhibition - Caspian Power and the 28th Baku Energy Forum (Conference) will be held.
Baku Energy Week is traditionally held with the support of the Ministry of Energy and the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
The organizers of the Baku Energy Week are Iteca Caspian and Caspian Event Organizers together with ICA Events and CEM FZ LLC as international partners.
326 companies from 37 countries have confirmed their participation in the events to be held within the framework of the Baku Energy Week.
The Caspian Oil&Gas and Caspian Power exhibitions will be held at the Baku Expo Center, and the Baku Congress Center will host the Baku Energy Forum. -0-

Yesterday morning, a fire occurred yesterday morning at the Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev, operated by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan. According to the statement, the fire was quickly extinguished. SOCAR Downstream Management, a subsidiary of SOCAR, reported that the fire happened in the coking unit; fortunately, there were no injuries at the refinery.

SOCAR plans to deploy 100 high-speed battery charging stations in Switzerland by 2026, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan's sustainable development report for 2023 by the. Currently, the company operates 20 fast-charging stations, mainly on highways and in major areas of Zurich. As part of a project to build a "green" hydrogen production plant, a consortium including “Alpiq”, “EW Hofe”, and “SOCAR Energy Switzerland” plans to construct an electrolysis plant in the municipality of Freienbach, with a capacity of up to 10 megawatts.

Gas supply will be temporarily halted in certain areas of Baku today, Azerigaz, the gas distribution structure of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan reported. Due to maintenance work, gas supply will be suspended from 10:00 AM on Lomonosov, Chernjakov, Ismailov, and Badalov streets in the Sabail district, as well as on Suleymanov, Nakhchivani, and Nuriev streets in the Nizami district, and in the "Gurjustanlılar" quarter of the Khazar district.
