Azerbaijan Expresses Readiness to Provide Comprehensive Assistance to Turkey in Connection with Earthquake
Baku / 25.01.20 / Turan: The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expressed deep condolences over the loss of life as a result of the devastating earthquake in Turkey.
“We express our deepest condolences to the families and families of those who died as a result of the earthquake in fraternal Turkey and wish the wounded a speedy recovery. Azerbaijan, as always, shares the sadness of the brotherly people of Turkey, is next to it and is ready to provide comprehensive assistance,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.
An earthquake of magnitude 6.8 occurred at 20:55 local time on January 24 in the county of Sivrice in the province of Elazığ.
The death toll from the earthquake in eastern Turkey reached 20, and the wounded to 1,015, Anadolu News Agency reported this morning. —06D ---
