On March 28,2022, in the program “60 Minutes” on the Russia-1 channel, Delyagin openly called for an aggressive war against Azerbaijan, made a provocative statement about the use of tactical nuclear weapons to destroy the country’s energy infrastructure and oil industry.
In these statements, the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan saw signs of a crime under the Articlesof the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan: 101.2 (open calls to unleash an aggressive war);
214.2.3 (threat of terrorist acts); 283.2.1 and 283.2.2 (inciting national, racial, social or religious hatred).
On March 29, Delyagin was charged in absentia under the above Articles of the Criminal Code and by a court decision he was put on the international wanted list through Interpol.
Appeals have been sent to the competent authorities of a number of partner states to ensure the immediate detention of the accused upon his entry into the territory of these countries and extradition to Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement.
However, the message does not indicate whether the request was sent to the Russian Federation itself for the extradition of Delyagin. –06В-
