"Azerbaijan should be ready for any scenarios" - Ilham Aliyev
Baku/21.07.23/Turan: In modern conditions, when the norms of international law are grossly violated and they are applied selectively, Azerbaijan should be ready for any scenarios and then strengthen its armed forces, the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said on July 21 at the Shusha Global Media Forum on the topic "New Media in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution". "We have to be ready for any scenario. To this end, as soon as the Karabakh war ended, we demonstrated our great Victory and immediately began to implement deep reforms in the field of defense," Aliyev said.
He emphasized that "the Azerbaijani army is even stronger today than it was three years ago." "Of course, it is necessary, and it follows from our history. We see that today the norms of international law are being grossly violated. We see that international law is applied selectively, we have been subjected to this approach for many years," Aliyev continued.
At the same time, he recalled that the UN Security Council resolutions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict have not been implemented for almost 30 years. "When international law does not work, when a signature is not so important, only force is a guarantee of peace," Aliyev said. At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that "despite the results of the Second Karabakh War, today there are certain people in Armenia, its society and even the government who still live with revanchist ideas." ---06B---
