Azerbaijan supports territorial integrity of Ukraine – Ilham Aliyev
Baku/24.08.22/Turan: Head of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory message to the President of Ukraine Volodimir Zelensky on the occasion of the national holiday of this country – Independence Day.
"The centuries-long strong friendship and feelings of mutual sympathy that unite our peoples are one of the main factors determining our interstate relations and cooperation," the message of congratulations reads.
Aliyev noted the importance of his visit to Ukraine in January this year from the "point of view of expanding relations between our countries."
"Azerbaijan, guided by the norms and principles of international law and the UN Charter, respects the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all states, including Ukraine. We will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine," Aliyev stressed.
He voiced his confidence that the traditional friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, fruitful cooperation will continue to expand through joint efforts in line with the interests of the peoples of the two countries. -06B-
