Azerbaijan will support Ukraine in the UN
At the meeting of the UN General Assembly on March 27, Azerbaijan will support Ukraine during the discussion of the draft resolution on the sovereignty of this country. The Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine made this statement.
According to the information on the website of the Embassy, Azerbaijan condemns any form of extremism, radicalism and separatism, and reaffirms its commitment to the territorial integrity, sovereignty and inviolability of internationally recognized borders.
Azerbaijan supports the settlement of all the conflicts between UN Member States on the basis of the above-mentioned principles and political dialogue, the report said.
The Azerbaijani embassy also commented on reports made by the Ukrainian "Internet" TV channel on March 26. The embassy denied the information sounded on the channel on the recognition of referendum in the Crimea by Azerbaijan.
The embassy reminded that at a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on 24-25 March, the deputy of Azerbaijan, Anar Ibrahimov, voted for a resolution condemning the occupation of the Crimea. -03D04-

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) today issued five rulings on applications from Azerbaijan. The case of "Afgan Mammadov v. Azerbaijan" concerned the complainant's exclusion from the Bar Association. Mammadov was expelled based on a complaint filed by a colleague, which he considered unjust. The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.
