Baku/31.01.22/Turan: Azerbaijan Ski Federation has been transformed into the Winter Sports Federation.
This decision was taken today at a general meeting of the organization held in the administrative building of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The new federation will develop skiing, snowboarding, ski mountaineering and figure skating.
Fuad Nagiyev, chairman of the State Agency for Tourism, was elected as the new President of the Federation.
Note that earlier the Federation was headed by Rauf Khalilov.
Change of the Federation management took place on the eve of the Winter Games in Beijing, where Azerbaijan will be represented by two figure skaters - Vladimir Litvintsev and Ekaterina Ryabova, who will perform in single skating.-06D-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
