Azerbaijani community of Karabakh ready for contacts with Armenian side
Baku / 18.01.19 / Turan: The head of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh, Tural Ganjaliyev, welcomed the statement of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs following the Paris meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh acts as a supporter of a constructive dialogue and networking between the Armenian and Azerbaijani communities, according to Ganjaliyev"s comment sent to the media.
Commenting on the statement, the representatives of the Karabakh de facto authorities, David Babayan, said:
"I would like to remind Babayan that Armenia and Azerbaijan are named as parties to the conflict, and the interested parties are the Armenian and Azerbaijani communities of Nagorno-Karabakh, which was recorded in a document adopted by the CSCE Council of Ministers back in 1992.
Therefore, talking only about the Armenian community of Nagorno-Karabakh, and turning a blind eye to the Azerbaijani community, contradicts the spirit of the statement made at the Paris meeting and does not contribute to the creation of a constructive environment," Ganjaliyev said.
We believe that intercommunal dialogue and contacts are of particular importance in preparing the people of both sides for peace, security and sustainable regional development.
The Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan hopes for a speedy peaceful settlement of the conflict and ensuring co-existence with the Armenian community," Ganjaliyev concluded. -02D-
