Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry does not comment on reports about withdrawal of Israeli military from Azerbaijan
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has not commented on the reports of the Israeli TV channel "KAN TV" about the withdrawal of the Israeli military from Azerbaijan because of the threat of an Iranian strike against them.
This message was published today by the Russian agency «TASS» with reference to "KAN TV".
The Israeli army has banned its soldiers from staying in Azerbaijan and Georgia amid threats of an Iranian strike, state broadcaster "Kan TV".
"Israeli soldiers who are in these two South Caucasus countries for any reason are obliged to return to Israel immediately," the report said.
It ought to be noted that Iran has long insisted that Israeli intelligence facilities have been established in Azerbaijan, on the border with Iran. Official Baku has repeatedly denied this, saying that it will not allow any hostile actions from its territory towards Iran.
In turn, Tehran has not yet provided any evidence of the existence of Israeli facilities in Azerbaijan.
The statement about a possible Iranian strike on Israeli facilities in Kurdistan and Azerbaijan appeared on Saturday after the publication of the British "The Telegraph".
"The Telegraph" quoted one of President Pezeshkian's aides as saying that it would be better to launch a conditional strike on Israeli facilities in Kurdistan and Azerbaijan, warning the leadership of these countries in advance, than to start a major war against Israel itself.
