Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry protested to France
Baku/01.07.23/Turan: On June 30, France's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Anne Boillon was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,Turan informs, citing Azerbaijan’s MFA.
At the meeting, the Azerbaijani side protested the remarks of French President Emmanuel Macron against Azerbaijan, which unilaterally defended Armenia and did not reflect the truth, asking for an explanation from the French side.
The ambassador was told that Macron, who was remembered for his anti-Azerbaijani statements many times, voiced biased remarks again, which is a clear example of the fact that the French president is a tool in the hands of the French Armenian lobby and that he could not achieve his goals in the war and post-war period.
It was emphasized that against the backlash of Armenia's support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the recognition of the Karabakh region as an integral part of Azerbaijan, such biased statements disseminated with reference to Macron hinder the peace establishment process and tranquility in the region, and further facilitate the expansion of the destructive activities of those who encourage and support separatism and terrorism.
At a meeting with the Armenian community in Marseille, Macron expressed France's determination on the Artsakh issue, the ARF Dashnaktsutyun office said.
"I have put and will continue to put more pressures on [Azerbaijani President Ilham] Aliyev than [Armenian Prime Minister Nikol] Pashinyan himself. The question is for Pashinyan. I am the only one who has a clear position and message on the Artsakh issue. Don't doubt my determination regarding Artsakh and Armenia in general. I will continue my efforts even if I am practically the only one in the international family with this agenda", the French President remarked.-0-
