Azerbaijani military thwarted attempts by Armenians to fortify in Aghdam and Khojaly directions
Baku/17.11.22/Turan: On November 17, Armenian armed formations in Karabakh tried to carry out engineering measures to strengthen combat positions in the Aghdam and Khojaly regions. However, the Azerbaijani military stopped this activity.
On November 17, from 09.55 to 14.45, units of the Azerbaijani army observed the carrying out of engineering work by the Armenian armed formations in the Aghdam and Khojaly regions in order to strengthen combat positions, the press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported on Thursday evening.
Such activity is a gross violation of the tripartite statement of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the Russian Federation dated November 10, 2020, further noted in a press release from the military department.
"The Azerbaijani army has taken the necessary measures to suppress ongoing illegal activities," the message of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry concluded.
