Azerbaijani-Turkish joint military exercises
Joint Azerbaijani-Turkish military exercises have begun today in the Garaeybat training center of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
The Head of the Operative Department of the Ministry of Defence, General Eyvaz Jafarov, spoke at the opening ceremony, and said that the first large-scale joint exercises are the logical continuation of the bilateral summits held in 2011 in Izmir and in 2012 in Gabala.
These exercises will improve the combat capability of the army and improve operational contact and compatibility. "Training will also have a positive impact on security and stability in the region", said the General.
He also said that from now on, such military exercises between the two countries will be regular, and will be held in turn in Turkey and Azerbaijan. -05D-
