Baku police promised to investigate pressure on journalists
The General Administration of Baku City Police reported that it conducts an investigation into the physical pressure on the staff of the Institute of Reporters Freedom and Safety Mehman Huseynov and Rasim Aliyev, as well as employees of the TV channel ANS Elnara Mamedova and Firouz Agayev.
All of them were abused during the rally in Baku on June 3 in performance of their professional duties, when a group of young people conducted a rally of solidarity with the mass protests in Turkey.
"At the conclusion of the investigation, appropriate action will be taken. Violators of the law will be punished," is said in the statement. -16D04-
