Baku to host meeting of international contact group on Afghanistan
Baku / 25.06.18 / Turan: Reports about the meeting in Baku between the representatives of the official Kabul and the "Taliban" allegedly planned for June 28 are not true. In fact, a meeting of the International Contact Group on Afghanistan will be held in Baku on June 28, reported the official representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Hikmet Hajiyev, responding to the request of the media.
90 representatives of countries and international organizations that are members of the International Contact Group will arrive in Baku. Representatives of governmental and non-governmental structures of Afghanistan will also take part in the meeting. The International Contact Group on Afghanistan was established in 2009. Its goal is to contribute to the development of Afghanistan. The group is co-chaired by Afghanistan and Germany. -05D06--
