Bayramov and Borrel discussed prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and the EU
Baku/02.12.22/Turan: Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ceyhun Bayramov at the 29th meeting OSCE Foreign Affairs Council met with Josep Borrel, Supreme Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union in various fields, prospects for further development of relations, as well as implementation of the agreements reached in the field of energy were discussed at the meeting.
The sides exchanged views on the promotion of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the role of the European Union on this matter.
"Bayramov said that Armenia creates obstacles to the normalization process, evades the commitments reached at the level of leaders, creates a false idea of the negotiation process.
The Minister also drew attention to the mine danger in the territories liberated from occupation," the message continues.
For his part, Borrel pointed out the relations of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the European Union in the field of energy have great potential for development. Also, he added that the European Union intends to continue supporting the process of normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan.
At the meeting, the parties discussed other issues of mutual interest. -06D-
