Belarusians offer AZAL to fly to New York via Minsk
Baku/14.04.21/Turan: Minister of Transport and Communications of Belarus Aleksey Avramenko proposed to consider the possibility of organizing a transcontinental flight of AZAL on the route Baku - Minsk - New York - Minsk - Baku. He put forward this idea today at a meeting with the Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev, BelTA informs.
"Thanks to the well-developed route network of the airport, flights to the United States via Minsk can become attractive not only for citizens of our states, but also for passengers from the Baltic countries," said Alexey Avramenko.
He also stressed that the Belarus is interested in organizing this flight and suggested working out concrete steps in the near future. The reaction of the Azerbaijani side is not reported.
The Baku-New York flight is attractive for its direct flight without intermediate landings. On the other hand, this transit is used by passengers from neighboring countries due to favorable prices.
In the case of a flight through Minsk, these passengers will have two transfers, which will significantly increase the travel time. — 06D-
