Baku/26.04.22/Turan: On Tuesday the deputy of the Milli Majlis Vahid Ahmedov, in response to the blocking the Azerbaijani websites in Russia, called on the the Azerbaijani authorities to prohibit the activities of the representative office of the Russian Sputnik news agency in Baku.
According to him, recently an officer of the Russian secret services, who previously served in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, was appointed to the post of head of the Baku representation. In turn, the head of the Press Council, Aflatun Amashev, said that he supported Ahmedov's opinion. “This agency regularly violates objectivity and balance. Therefore, it is worth thinking about the further activities of this agency in Azerbaijan,” he told Turan.
