Candidates and Observers Report Opaque Ballot Boxes
Baku / 09.02.20 / Turan: Opaque ballot boxes were registered at various polling stations - in particular, at the 19th precinct of the 29th Sabail constituency.
According to the candidate for deputy in this constituency, the deputy chairman of the Musavat party Faraj Karimli, this violates the requirements of the Electoral Code.
“Our observers acted upon this and noted the importance of replacing the opaque ballot box. But that has not been done,” he said.
The district commission claims that both ballot boxes are transparent.
The presence of an opaque ballot box was also reported by observers in the 12th precinct of the 15th Yasamal first constituency. However, the district commission denied this. —06-
