Cavusoglu: Turkey is ready to connect to the settlement the Karabakh conflict
Turkish Foreign Minister commented on the issue of the establishment of the tripartite mechanism of Turkey-Russia-Azerbaijan. In an interview with the agency "Anadolu" he drew attention to the presence of Turkey-Russia-Iran mechanism. "We, for our part, speak about the possibility of creating a similar trilateral format with the participation of Moscow, Ankara and Baku. Azerbaijan accepted the proposal positively, and when President Erdogan said about it in an interview with Putin, then he immediately accepted the offer," Cavusoglu said.
Referring to the situation in the South Caucasus, the minister said that "Karabakh conflict" seriously threatens the stability and security of the region. We previously directed the efforts to settle the conflict," Cavusoglu said, noting that relevant initiatives on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, and Russia supports.
"We consider the Russian proposal. These initiatives coincide with the initiatives that we at one time offered to Armenia in the context of conflict resolution. Both Russian and Azerbaijani brothers, in favor of that, and Ankara has made a contribution to the resolution of the conflict.
