Baku/04.01.19/Turan: A new situation is observed in the negotiation process to resolve the Karabakh conflict, announced live on Facebook the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, commenting on the meeting with Azerbaijani President in Vienna.

"It is very strange when the leaders of the countries hold a meeting for several hours, but then diametrically opposite comments are heard," the Armenian media quotes Pashinyan.

According to him, negotiations were held in Vienna within the framework of what he spoke at the meeting of the Security Council of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh - that is, the direct participation of Karabakh in the negotiations.

"Recently, comments have been heard in Baku that go beyond the joint statement of the co-chairs. To this end, he wants to bring some clarity.

"We went to Vienna with the agenda of Stepanakert"s return to the negotiations. And this is not a change of format or precondition, but only a desire to make negotiations more efficient. Azerbaijan says the format has remained unchanged. This is incorrect in the framework of the logic we agreed on," said Pashinyan.

"In Vienna, the parties did not come to the agreement, but we will return to this subject," he continued.

At the meeting in Vienna, the question of interpretation of the Madrid principles was raised. At this stage, the Armenian side received answers to all its questions. -02D-
