Confrontation with Azerbaijan casts doubt on Armenia`s continued existence – Nikol Pashinyan
Baku/25.07.23/Turan: Armenians "must get out of the logic in which the whole world sleeps and sees how the Nagorno-Karabakh issue should be resolved," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at today's press conference.
"We can say that Russia, the United States, the European Union, Armenia, Azerbaijan should do this and that. We must also formulate what Nagorno-Karabakh should do to overcome the current crisis. The authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh have something to work on, and we are ready to support them in this direction. We must get out of the logic in which the whole world sleeps and sees how the Nagorno-Karabakh issue should be resolved. This is our problem and we must find ways to solve the problem," Pashinyan acknowledged in today's speech.
He also pointed out that the confrontation with Azerbaijan casts doubt on the continued existence of the Armenian state.
"Do we agree, based on reality, and not desires, that, as in the previous 30 years, Armenia will live in a confrontation mode in the next 10-15-30 years? If someone says that Armenia should continue to live in a confrontational regime, then, in fact, he is questioning the statehood, existence of the state, sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Armenia. Statements from Nagorno-Karabakh that exclude negotiations with Azerbaijan are not very clear," Pashinyan said. ---06B---
