Court again dismissed complaint from Mirkadyrov
On Monday, the Nasimi District Court, under the chairmanship of Shalala Hasanova considered the complaint from the journalist Rauf Mirkadirov on not allowing a notary to visit him. The arrested journalist wants to sign a power of attorney for Turkish lawyers to protect his rights in Turkey.
The court rejected the appeal, lawyer Elmar Suleymanov told Turan.
The need for the involvement of Turkish lawyers comes from the infringement of Mirkadyrov’s rights at his deportation from Turkey on April 19. The defense believes that he was not deported, but actually extradited.
The lawyer also said that today the journalist was not delivered from the MNS prison to the court, although the defense applied for the delivery of Mirkadyrov.
Suleymanov believes Mirkadyrov was not brought to the court because a few days ago, he announced his intention to appear in the court with a statement.
However, the defense intends to appeal the court's decision.
