Court deprives Aslan Ismailov the powers of lawyer
Narimanov district court in Baku adopted decision to terminate the powers of attorney lawyer Aslan Ismailov. In an interview with Turan Ismailov said that the judge Turgay Huseynov did not have substantial ground for his decision. Ismailov said the court's decision was ordered, and is connected with his public activity. Ismailov intends to appeal the decision. Ismailov will continue legal practice in the "Visa" company led buy him.
On May 8 the Bar Association of Azerbaijan decided on an immediate cease of advocacy of Aslan Ismailov, and excluding him from the from the Bar Association. The Board adopted an appeal for taking relevant decision.
This decision was taken on the basis of a complaint of the judge Elnur Hasanov, from Sabail District.
On February 10 Ismailov complained to the Ministry of Justice against this judge, and two days later he complained against Ismailov to the Bar Association.
Aslan Ismailov is one of the most famous lawyers of the country, which led a number of cases on corruption, abuse of property rights, etc. Two years ago, a lawyer Elchin Namazov was deprived of status of lawyer.
Recently, a judge of the Baku Court of Serious Crimes, Zeynal Agayev, announced his intention to appeal to the Prosecutor's Office to bring the lawyer Yalcin Imanov to justice.–16D06--
