Customs officers of Azerbaijan and Iran strengthen cooperation
Baku/13.05.22/Turan: Azerbaijan and Iran signed three protocols on cooperation in the field of customs, the IRNA agency reports. The documents were signed on May 12 by the chairman of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, Safar Mehdiyev, and the head of the Iranian Customs Organization, Ali-Rza Mugaddasi, in the Iranian border town of Julfa.
According to Mugaddasi, the documents are aimed at expanding cooperation in the field of economic transactions, improving customs procedures, and speeding up the passage of goods.
According to him, the signing of a tripartite agreement between the customs departments of Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia is also expected in Tehran. -03B06-

According to a report by Turan correspondent, the discussions took place behind closed doors and lasted for over an hour. No statements were made to the press following the meeting.
