Baku / 09/22/17 / Turan: A delegation of the German Bundestag headed by the MP Kai Goering will pay a visit to Baku on October 2-4. As Turan was told in the German embassy in Azerbaijan, the mission arrives in order to select candidates from Azerbaijan for the International Parliamentary Scholarship Program (IPS) of the German Bundestag for 2018. During the meetings in Baku, the delegation will hold discussions in the fields of politics, economy and humanitarian sphere, prospects for bilateral cooperation. Within the framework of the IPS 120 program, fellows from 41 countries in March-July 2017 had an opportunity to get acquainted with the parliamentary system of Germany in the framework of scholarships fully funded by the German Bundestag. From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. During the mentioned period, the police found 1 machine gun, 50 grenades, 7 fuses, 3 shells and 320 cartridges of different calibre in Shusha.

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
