Baku/03.03.20/Turan: On Tuesday, a meeting of Candidates for deputies who disagree with the official results of the February 9 parliamentary elections held a meeting at the headquarters of the Musavat party.
The meeting was attended by candidates from the Musavat party, the Republican Alternative party, the Movement bloc, as well as a group of independent candidates.
Participants discussed the situation and made proposals for further action. In particular, a decision was made to consolidate efforts in the struggle to cancel the election results.
In particular, it was proposed to create a shadow parliament, on behalf of 200 opposition candidates to adopt an appeal to the citizens of the country, create a constitutional commission and prepare a draft new constitution with a view to moving to a parliamentary republic.
To coordinate actions, the meeting participants created a working group consisting of: head of the Musavat apparatus Gulaga Aslanli, executive secretary of REAL Natig Jafarli, member of the Nida Movement Ilkin Rustamzade, head of the Movement D18 Ruslan Izzatli, as well as public activists Farhad Mehdiyev, Bakhtiyar Hajiyev and Limunat Amrahly. — 06D-

On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
