Moscow/24.02.22/Turan: Denazification suggests that Ukraine needs to be liberated from the Nazis, this is  how Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov explained this term.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that in response to the appeal of the heads of the republics of Donbass, he decided to conduct a special military operation. Its goal is to protect people who are subjected to bullying and genocide by Kiev. For this, according to Putin, Moscow will seek, among other things, the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.

"Ideally, it is necessary to liberate Ukraine, clean it from the Nazis, from pro-Nazi people and ideology," Peskov said in response to a question about how one can understand the words about the need to denazify the country.

He also explained that the demilitarization of Ukraine means "the neutralization of the military potential, which has recently been considerably strengthened thanks to the vigorous activity of foreign countries." Asked by journalists to clarify whether this means the liquidation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Kremlin spokesman said: "I have already answered this question."

At the same time, Peskov declined to comment on the question of whether the government of Ukraine should change? "I won't comment on it, I can't answer this question now," the Kremlin spokesman said. He also did not answer the question whether, according to Moscow, the president and the rest of the leadership of Ukraine belong to such pro-Nazi people.-02D-
