Turkey condemns Russian aggression against Ukraine
Baku/24.02.22/Turan: Turkey again calls on Russia and Ukraine to resolve all contradictions through dialogue within the framework of the Minsk agreements, announced on Thursday President Recep Tayyip Erdrogan.
He noted that Turkey rejects and considers Russia's military operation against Ukraine unacceptable. The Turkish leader stressed that Ankara considers Russia and Ukraine to be friendly countries.
"The confrontation between Russia and Ukraine causes us sincere regret," the Anadolu agency quoted Erdogan as saying. Turkey supports Kiev's struggle to protect its territorial integrity, "which I informed about today in a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky," Erdogan said.
"Russia's military invasion of Ukraine is contrary to international law and deals a serious blow to peace and stability in the region," the Turkish leader said.
Turkey is ready to make the necessary efforts to ensure the security of Turkish citizens, the fraternal Crimean Tatar people and all who live in Ukraine, the Turkish President said. -02D-
