Baku / 16.06.20 / Turan: During the night clash between Azerbaijani citizens in the Dagestan village of Kullar and Russian police forces, about 50 Azerbaijanis were injured and about 100-120 people were detained. This was reported to Turan by one of the Azerbaijanis, who is in a camp in Kullar.
As already reported, the Azerbaijanis tried to march to the border, but were detained.
“Here people are waiting for a pass to their homeland for one and a half to two months. Yesterday a list of people who were in the next batch of returnees was announced. However, less than half of the people on the list are listed. Many of them were angry that some people who had arrived here recently were on the list. Late in the evening everyone went to the rally and a part moved towards the border. The police blocked the way for the protesters and tried to detain them. However, people were desperately struggling to get the detainees back from the Russian police. Then the security forces used tear gas and, in response, people began throwing objects at them. Arriving as reinforcement, the Russian Guard military could not cope with the protesters. After that, they started shooting into the air and the people were beaten with batons,” the source said.
In the morning the territory was cleaned up, and the people’s blood was washed away. Today, another batch of 200 people was sent to Azerbaijan. Many “old-timers” did not get into it again.
Today, representatives of state bodies of Azerbaijan are expected to arrive. — 03B06-
