Multi-kilometer Traffic Jams at Entrances to Capital
Baku / 16.06.20 / Turan: On the morning of June 16, at the entrances to Baku from the three main highways - north, south and west, kilometer-long traffic jams formed.
The reason is the large number of transport of residents of the capital who left for the regions on quarantine days on June 14-16th.
The police can’t cope with the admission of vehicles, while the road infrastructure cannot accept thousands of cars at the same time.
According to police, 260 thousand people left the capital during quarantine days.
The largest traffic jam formed on the Baku-Alat highway with a length of about 4 km, 1.5 km traffic jam on the Baku-Shamakhi road and the same on the Baku-Guba road. By noon on June 16th, traffic jams had partially decreased.
Police threaten to punish those who left the city without permission. -02D-
