Erdogan and Zelensky are having talks in Lviv
Baku/18.08.22/Turan: A meeting of the Presidents of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky began in the Ukrainian city of Lvov. Negotiations are taking place at the Potocki Palace. The leaders' meeting began at 2:40 pm local time, Anadolu reported. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Lviv at the invitation of his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.
The head of the Turkish state flew to the Polish city of Rzeszow, and from there proceeded to Lviv by land transport. First, Recep Tayyip Erdogan will have one-on-one talks with Vladimir Zelensky. Then, there will be a trilateral meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine and Turkey and UN Secretary General António Guterres.
As a result of the consultations, a joint press conference of the leaders of Turkey, Ukraine and the UN Secretary General will be organized.

On January 15, the Yasamal District Court rejected the motion to change the detention measure for Azer Gasymly, the director of the Institute of Political Management, his lawyer, Agyl Laidj, to Turan. "Azer Gasymly stated during the trial that the charges against him were fabricated and related to his socio-political activities," the lawyer said. An appeal will be filed against the court's decision.
