Erdogan called for the creation of an information system of the Turkic countries
Baku/22.10.21/Turan: The Turkic-speaking states must jointly resist disinformation. This was stated on Friday by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, addressing the participants of the Media Forum of the Turkic Council, which began work in Istanbul.
"Uncontrolled social networks have become a source of threat to democracy, society and the national security of states. Our countries should form an independent information system and media, as Turkey is doing today in the defense and military spheres," the Anadolu agency quotes Erdogan.
The events of the 44-day war in Karabakh became a manifestation of "digital fascism", when well-known Western media ignored the crimes of the Armenian Armed Forces, rocket attacks on peaceful cities of Azerbaijan.
"The Armenian Armed Forces fired ballistic missiles at Azerbaijani cities, committed mass murders, but the bloody crimes were hushed up and not covered by the international media. The Karabakh war is not the first and not the last example of an information embargo that our countries will face," Erdogan said.-02D-
